Homebridge Plugin: Delonghi Comfort

By willmot on September 11, 2025 — 1 min read

I miss coding, I used to do a lot but now I’m the busy CEO of a small business with a young family I don’t get much time. When I do find a minute I realise I’ve forgotten a lot and it takes me ages to figure out how to get going again.

Thankfully AI has come along and now I can vibe code!

It’s been a hot summer and so I bought a portable Air Con to setup in the corridor between the kids rooms. I went for a Delonghi PAC 110 Wifi.

Unfortunately the app it comes with sucks and I couldn’t find a way to hook it up to Apple Home.

But I did find a Home Assistant integration and because it’s open source I was able to vibe code (mostly Codex CLI with a bit of Cursor) it into a Homebridge plugin.

Screenshot of a home automation interface displaying the temperature settings for a portable air conditioner, set to cool to 19.0°C.

Check it out on GitHub and give it a try! If you find any issues let me know and I’ll ask AI to fix them.
